Each 2023 1 oz British Silver Coronation Britannia Coin offered here comes in Brilliant Uncirculated condition. These coins are packaged in either protective flips or plastic tubes of 25 coins. The British Silver Coronation Britannia Coin has a limited issue and is accompanied in the series by an additional British Gold Coronation Britannia.
The Silver Britannia debuted in 1997. Prior to 2023, the only monarch to feature on the coins was Queen Elizabeth II. King Charles III now becomes just the second monarch to grace the coins of the Britannia Series and is the first to enjoy a Silver Coronation Britannia release with a special crowned bust.
Obverse design elements on the 2023 British Silver Coronation Britannia Coins include the new left-profile bust of King Charles III. Designed in late 2022 by Martin Jennings, this version of the king’s bust has been enhanced to include a crown, the first time His Majesty has featured on British coinage with a crown.
Reverse visuals on 2023 1 oz Silver Coronation Britannia Coins include the powerful image of Britannia. The female allegory is shown here as she was designed by Philip Nathan. Her front-facing figure looks to the right where she clutches a trident as her left hand rests on a Union Jack shield while clutching an olive branch.
